Roger Henry Buss, 78, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017, at his home in Hampton. He was born on December 14, 1938, in Owatonna, Minnesota, to George and Mae Margaret (Mahlman) Buss. Roger attended school in Hampton, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Judith (Rodemeyer) Buss Anderson, mother of his children, on June 14, 1958, in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Roger worked at Sheffield Brick and Tile for eleven years, Waverly Police Department for six years and at United Equipment. Roger was an EMT and AmVet member in Waverly and was affiliated with the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hampton. He enjoyed fishing and camping. Since moving to Hampton, Roger enjoyed walking his dog, Oscar, on the trail and at local parks. Whenever one saw Oscar, you would know that Roger wasn't far away; wherever one was, the other was close by. Roger is survived by his children Terry (Jackie) Buss of Hampton, Teresa (David) Fielding of Hampton, Alan J. (Lisa) Buss of Iowa Falls, ten grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, step children, step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, siblings Delores Gamble of Garner, Darlene (Dick) Reynolds of Mason City, Jan Hershey of Hampton, Marilyn Ellis of Mason City, Wayne (Sue) Buss of Denver, Barb (Dennis) Rodgers of Arizona, Suzanna (Clifford) Jacobsen of Luzerne, and Marie Buss of Hampton, Joyce (John) Hornyak of Manly. He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brothers Dean and Gene Buss and son Jeffrey Lynn Buss.
