Last Rites for Jesse C. Kite

Jesse C. Kite of Hampton passed away early Wednesday morning at the Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, where he had been a patient for nine days. He had been in failing health for some time.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 3:00 o'clock at the Green & Sietsema Funeral Home in Hampton with Rev. Kenneth Davis, pastor of the First Christian church, officiating. Burial will be at the Hampton cemetery. IOOF services will be held at the funeral home after the regular service.

He was born July 1, 1882, in Clark County, Illinois, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. George Kite. He was married to Zora Hartman, September 7, 1907, at Olney, Illinois, and in 1915 they moved to Franklin County where they engaged in farming until retiring. He was proceeded in death by his wife. Mr. Kite is survived by two daughters, Miss Bertha Kite and Miss Maxine Kite of Hampton.

He was affiliated with the First Christian Church and was a member of the IOOF lodge.
