Craig H. Koenen, 66, died May 22, 2019 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. A graveside service was held June 22 at the Alexander Cemetery.

Craig Henry was born January 31, 1953 in Belmond to Henry and Viola Stoffer Koenen. He attended CAL schools and Iowa State University. In 1980 he married Lori Badger in Hampton. He worked at Maytag in Newton until the plant closed.

He is survived by his mother of Dallas Center; daughters Nikole Koenen of Urbandale, Andrea (Alan) Stegeman of Wardsville, Missouri, and Bridget Koenen of Kellogg; sisters Dianne Long of West Des Moines and Jane (Tom) Osborn of Tucson, Arizona; and girlfriend Carol Arnold of Knoxville.
