Alexander - Rudolph Beenen, 92, Alexander's eldest resident, died Sunday at the Christensen Nursing Home, Sheffield. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Methodist Church here. Burial was in the Alexander Cemetery with Green & Sietsema Funeral Home in charge.
Born February 23, 1870 in Germany, he came to this country when 14. He was married to Clara Hansen January 25, 1896 in Alexander. She died in 1917 and in 1922 he was married to Anna L. Fowler. She died in 1946.
Surviving are four daughters: Mrs. Gus Vestweber and Mrs. Frank Bohlen, Alexander; Mrs. Edith Tolentino, Chicago; Mrs. Everett Nelson, Dows; a son, Jerry of Alexander; 14 grand children; 27 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; two brothers, Aldrich of Clear Lake and Ted of Alexander; a sister, Miss Anna Beenen of Alexander and three half-brothers.
