Funeral services for Mrs. Jacob Ammerman were held Wednesday at the Green funeral home and Reformed church by the Rev. N. J. O. Boomgaarden. Burial was in the Alexander cemetery.
She was born Feb. 8, 1885, in Germany. At the age of 4 years she came to the United States with her parents, where they lived for three years near Ackley, then moved to the vicinity of Chapin. She was married Feb. 22, 1905, to Jacob Ammerman of Chapin. They lived at Chapin two years, then came to Alexander. Her husband died in 1935.
She is survived by four children, Jake and Jerry of Alexander, Mrs. Louis Brandt of Hampton and William of Sheffield; her aged father, Jerry De Vries; also three brothers, Phillip De Vries of Alexander, Jerry De Vries of Breckenridge, Minnesota and William De Vries of Glennville, Minnesota.
