J. H. Butson Died at Home in Hampton - Funeral services were held at Geneva, Monday afternoon for J. H. Butson whose death Friday after a short illness was a great shock to the community. Mr Butson had been ill only a week. Bronchial trouble, with complications owing to his advanced years caused death. He was 77 years of age and had resided in the vicinity of Geneva for the past fifty years. He is survived by his wife and six children - Jee near Hampton, Percy, Geneva, Pearl in Minnesota, Mrs Howard Haggen, Marshalltown, Mrs Arthur Wohlford, Geneva, Mrs Geo Luke, Melette,South Dakota.Source - Ackley World Journal - Ackley, Iowa - dated February 21 1929.
