Hampton Crash Takes One Life

HAMPTON
Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon for Alfred A. Knudson 70, who died Saturday afternoon after being injured in an auto accident near here. His services will be at 3:30 p.m. in the Van Hove funeral home at Latimer, with burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery west of Hampton. Knudson was fatally injured in an accident five miles east of here on Hwy. 3 about 1:30 p.m. Saturday. He died about three hours later in a Hampton hospital. Authorities said Knudson apparently pulled his car from a county road onto the highway. into the path of one driven by John Groninga, 20, Dumont. Groninga suffered cuts in the mishap and was released from a hospital here Monday. Knudson is survived by a daughter, Miss Jeanne Knudson, Syracuse, N. Y., and a sister, Mrs. John Thorup, Hampton.
