Jorgensen Karen Marie (Miller) 1881-1968

Karen Jorgensen passed away July 21, 1968 at Franklin General Hospital in Hampton, Iowa. Services held Wednesday July 24 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Southwest of Hampton at 2;00 P.M.
Rev. Sedoris McCartney will officiate at the last rites and burial will be in the church cemetery.
The Green & Sietsma Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Karen Marie (Miller) Jorgensen was born August 1, 1881 in Grundy County, daughter of the late Mr. & Mrs. Peter Miller. The family moved to the Coulter area when she was 12 years old. She was married to Andrew Jorgensen March 8, 1902, at St. John’s Church.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Danny Kibsgaard of Coulter, three sons, Alfred Jorgensen and Folmer Jorgensen of Hampton and Frode Jorgensen of San Mateo, California. Two brothers, Anton and Ezra Miller of Hampton, five sisters, Mrs. Mette Lund, Miss Dagmar Miller, and Miss Anna Miller all of Des Moines, Mrs. Ida Egede of Hampton and Mrs. Ruth Stroving of Askov, Minnesota. Nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one daughter, one sister and two brothers. Mrs. Jorgensen was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid Society of the Church.
