Hansen Niels Herluf 1913-1975

Herluf N. Hansen, 62, Coulter, well known Franklin County man, passed away Tuesday morning at Franklin General Hospital. He had been in failing health for some time. Funeral services will be this afternoon, Thursday, at 3:00 P.M. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, southwest of Hampton with Rev. Leo Anderson officiating at the last rites. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Green & Sietsma Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Niels Herluf Hansen was born Nov 14, 1913, in Hampton, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Anton Hansen. He was married to Agnes Duus Nov. 14, 1943, at Tyler, Minn. They had lived their entire married life in the Coulter area.
Mr. Hansen was elected Auditor of Franklin County in 1952 and served until 1956. He then became an auditor for the Iowa State Tax Commission and served in this capacity until retiring in 1969.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Eldon of Los Angeles, Calif., one daughter, Mrs. Danny Scott of Mason City, two sisters, Mrs. Floyd Olson of Coulter and Mrs. Jerry Lynn of Fort Collins, Colo. And five grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his parents.
He was a member of St. Jon’s Lutheran Church.
