Funeral Services will be Today for Marius Hansen
Marius Hansen age 91, of Coulter passed away Sunday afternoon at the Franklin General Hospital. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, Tuesday, at 1:30 o’clock at St. John’s Lutheran Church; southwest of Hampton, with Rev. Leo Andersen officiating at the last rites. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The Green & Sietsema funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
He was born in Denmark April 29, 1880, the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Nels Hansen. He came to the United States and on December 29, 1911 he was married to Thora Thor at St. John’s Lutheran Church. He had been a resident of Franklin County since 1910 and engaged in farming until retiring in 1945.
Mr. Hansen is survived by one son, Herluf Hansen of Coulter, two daughters, Mrs. Thyra Oleson, of Latimer, Mrs. Helene Lyon, of Fort Collins, Colorado; one brother, George Hansen, of Cedar Falls, six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren.
