Hansen Alton Peter 1923-1969
Alton Peter Hansen, McCartney officiating at the last rites, Burial will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the Adams Funeral home. In Ames, until Friday morning.
He was born September 22, 1923, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Nels Hansen, of Hampton. He graduated from the Hampton high school and during World War II served with the U.S. Navy. He had made his home in Ames since 1963 where he was employed as a carpenter.
Mr. Hanse is survived by his wife, the former Irene L. Falls, one son, Tanoa N. Hansen, of Ames, two daughters, Mrs. Aloman Foley, of Nevada, and Ranee, at home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Nels Hansen, of Hampton, and one sister Mrs. Evelyn Sharp, of Hampton.
He was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, the Carpenters Union, Local 1948, The Ames Post of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Loyal Order of the Moose.
