Christensen Ansgar M. 1907-1982

Ansgar M. Christensen, 75, Latimer, died suddenly Friday night, Aug. 27, at his home in Latimer, Funeral services will be held this morning, Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Latimer, with Rev. Keith Weber officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery in Franklin County. Willim Funeral Home, Latimer is in charge.
He was born Feb. 12, 1907 in Latimer where he was raised and educated. On Dec. 29, 1927 he was married to Alice Rasmussen. He graduated from the University of Iowa in 1930 and in 1939 they moved to Long Beach, Calif. In 1941 they moved to Glendale, Calif. And in 1974 returned to Latimer where they had since made their home. During that time, he worked as a stockbroker. During World War II he was personnel director for Lockheed California Co., in Burbank, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Alice, one son, A.M. Junior, Laguna Nigel, Calif. And two grandchildren.
Mr. Christensen was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ, Latimer: the Hampton Rotary Club: Hampton AF & AM, and the Reserve United States Coast Guard.
