Clyde M. Parks, 88, of Hampton, passed away Monday, October 23, 2017, at Franklin Country View Nursing Facility in Hampton, Iowa.

He was born March 11, 1929, in Hampton, Iowa, to John and Maggie (O'Hearn) Parks. Clyde attended Richland Township rural schools in Franklin County. He was united in marriage to Elaine Larsen on October 21, 1953, in Coulter, Iowa. Clyde served his country in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955 during the Korean Conflict. He farmed for 34 years. Clyde was a member of the Zion Reformed Church in rural Sheffield, Iowa, and the American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, camping and card club.

Clyde is survived by his wife Elaine Parks of Hampton, son Steve (Melody) Parks of Mesa, Arizona, daughter Kim Dorenkamp of Clear Lake, daughter Julie (Scott) Plagge of Forest City, grandchildren Tabitha (Joe) Brant of Lebanon, Missouri, Ben (Jenny) Dorenkamp of Granger, Mike (Carmen) Parks of New Port News, Virginia, Nick Dorenkamp of Dows, Jordy (Diana) Plagge of Forest City, Amanda (Jim) Teachout of Forest City, Jeremy (Danielle) Dorenkamp of McKinney, Texas, sister-in-law Marge Irving of Webster City, brothers-in-law Bub Priske of Eldora, Bruce (Kathy) Larsen of Custer, South Dakota and eleven great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and four sisters.
