Jens M. Sondergaard, Hampton, passed away early Monday morning at his home. Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church southwest of Hampton, with the Rev. Fred Ollendorf officiating at the last rites. Burial was in the church cemetery. Vogel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He was born Nov. 22, 1899, in Haasum, Denmark, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jens Laursen. He came to the United States in about 1922.

He was married to Maren Jessen Jan. 22, 1930, at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. They retired and moved into Hampton.

Mrs. Sondergaard passed away in 1971.

Mr. Sondergaard is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lowell (Helen) Simons of Hampton, three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Besides his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, four brothers and three sisters.

He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. He died May 31, 1976.
