Mary Louise (Carman) Heilskov was born March 22, 1921 at Rockford, Iowa to Gerald and Alta (Mozena) Carman and died June 20, 2010.

Mary lived in Rockford, Iowa until she was 4 years old then resided in Sheffield, Iowa, where she graduated from high school in May 1939. She attended LA James Cosmetology School and graduated in 1940. Mary worked as a beautician in Waverly, Iowa, before marriage and later had her shop in her home on the farm.

She married Holger Heilskov at the Little Brown Church on July 19, 1941. They lived on a farm southwest of Hampton for 27 years.

She has been a member of St John's Lutheran Church, Hampton, Iowa for 68 years. She was an active member of the ELCA.

Mary is survived by her husband, Holger; children: Gene (Marilyn) Heilskov of Hampton; Lind (Roger) Cyganek of Bonita Springs, Florida; Bob (Kathy) Heilskov of Hampton and Craig (Rhonda) Heilskov of Mason city and her brother, Gary (Karen) Carman, Prescott, Arizona.
Her grandchildren include: Debbie Shannon, Ty Heilskov, Creed Heilskov, Jason Heilskov, Tori Bradley, Kevin Cyganek, Natalie Heilskov, and Luke Heilskov.

Mary's great-grandchildren are: Aaron Schmidt (deceased), Samantha Schmidt, Robin Heilskov, Libby Heilskov, Marin Heilskov, Ava Heilskov, Joshua Heilskov, Brandi Bradley, Gannon Bradley, Lofton Bradley, Brooklyn Heilskov, Nathaniel Shannon and Errin Schie.

She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her happiest days was when she had her family together.

Mary was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Carman; her mother Alta Carman; her brother, Jim Carman and great-grandson, Aaron Schmidt.
