Latimer- Mrs. Wilbert (Esther) Hemmes, 43, died Monday at a Hallock, Minn., hospital following an illness of three years. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the Methodist Church, Humboldt, Minn. Burial was there.

Born in Latimer, she was Esther Jurgens, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Herman T. Jurgens. She was graduated from Latimer High Schol and taught country school several years. She was married to Wilbert Hemmes, in 1940, at the home of her parents.

Surviving are her husband, two daughters and three sons, her parents, two brothers and one sister.
