Chapin - Funeral services for Hugo Marquardt, 77, were held Sunday at the Chapin Congregational Church. The Rev. H.H. Wintermeyer officiated and burial was in the Marion Center Cemetery southwest of Chapin. The Wartnaby Funeral Home, Sheffield, was in charge.

He died Thursday evening at his home after suffering a lingering illness.

Survivors include three daughters, Miss Olga Marquardt, Chapin; Else Dannen, Chapin, and Mrs. Everett Biesel, Zumbrota, Minn., and a son, Otto Marquardt, Zumbrota.
