Lonnie Tonn funeral is Wednesday - Lonnie F. Tonn, 77, a former Charles City resident, died Monday morning at the Iowa Soldier's Home in Marshalltown where he had been a patient since June 8, 1961.

Lonnie Tonn was born on December 2, 1891, in Williamstown, the son of Emil and Minnie Witgrefe Tonn. He received his education in the New Hampton Schools. In 1917 he married Carrie Zipse.

He was a veteran of World War I having served in the Army. He had been a carpenter and also had been employed by the Jasperson and Ball Turkey Farm and also Ralph Maller.

Survivors include one son, Donald Tonn, Charles City; one daughter, Madonna; fourteen grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Grahlman, Charles City and Mrs. Christena Kalkbrenner, New Hampton.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Hage Funeral Home. The Rev. Clifford Balcom, pastor at the Independent Mission Church, will officiate.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery.

The Hage Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
