CHARLES CITY, IOWA - John Herman Birkholz, 85 years old, died on August 25, 1965 at Charles City nursing home, buried at Riceville [SIC] Cemetery.

Survived by his wife; sons, Harley, of New Haven, and Edward, ofCharles City; two daughters, Margaret Nordman, of Alta Vista and Selma Poppe, of Hartson, and three stepsons.
