A Floyd County Farmer Suicides.
Julius Schutknecht, a farmer living near Floyd, committed suicide by hanging himself last Monday afternoon. He was found in his barn suspended from a rafter by the use of a wire taken from a bale of hay. Deceased had been prosperous but about two years ago he became insane, threatening violence to his wife and family. He was sent to Independence where he remained only about three months. He has frequently threatened violence to himself and the act is now consummated. To cause death he had to take a half reclining position from which he could easily have recovered himself had he so desired.
