Donald "Don" Reiher

September 10, 1927 - December 22, 2018

Donald “Don” Reiher, 91, of Charles City, passed away Friday, December 22, 2018 at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

A funeral service for Don Reiher will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Hauser Funeral Home with Pastor Norman Bauer from Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church officiating.

Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the start of the service at the funeral home on Wednesday.

Donald Harm Reiher, the son of Harm and Clara (Ackerman) Reiher, was born September 10, 1927 in Aplington, Iowa. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Kramer on June 25, 1955.

Don proudly served his country in the Army. When he was honorably discharged, he entered the trucking business where he was an independent trucker. Don transported houses, churches, tractors and may more items. He spent his free time flying airplanes, farming, tinkering in the shop and restoring tractors. Don also enjoyed time outdoors watching the wildlife and time spent with his family.

Living family members include his wife, Marjorie; children: Steve Reiher, Greg Reiher and Karen Cowsert (Tim); grandchildren: Tiffany Reiher (Elijah), Heather Reiher (Jacob), Cody Reiher, Nicole Reiher and Ashley Popp (Ryan).

Don was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers: Floyd and Wayne Reiher.
