Jerry Dean Iverson was born on November 21, 1938 in St. Paul, MN to Glen and Elenor (Wenzel) Iverson. When he was quite young, his mother Elenor passed away. He gained another mom, Helen Adair. He grew up in Big Fork, attending and graduating from Big Fork High School in 1957. He continued his education at Austin Community College and Mankato State. Following graduation, Jerry enlisted into the United States Air Force in 1960. He served his country honorably until his discharge in 1965.
In 1967, Jerry married the love of his life, Donna Moore. The two were an inseparable pair, made perfectly for each other. Together they ran the Bremwood boy's home in Waverly for over 15 years. The couple then moved to Branson, Missouri, where Jerry worked as a Chef, a passion he would carry through his lifetime. Donna and Jerry moved to Rockford, IA where they purchased the family home and enjoyed their family together. Donna passed away in 1992 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Jerry enjoyed watching sports, whether it was the Cubs, Twins, or Minnesota Vikings, Jerry could be found in front of the TV cheering them on. He had a passion for the outdoors, spending time camping and fishing with his nieces and nephews and other extended family members. Most of all, Jerry was a caring, compassionate person who loved his friends and family.
Left to cherish his memory is his sister, Linda (Meg) Iverson of Minneapolis, MN; sister-in-law, Joan (Don) Shawley of Sparta, WI; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Donna; parents, Glen Iverson, Elenor (Wenzel) Iverson, and Helen (Adair) Iverson; two sisters in infancy; and a sister-in-law, Peggy Curran.
