Service: A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018, at Hauser Funeral Home

Burial will be at Beckwith Cemetery in Colwell, Iowa

A visitation will be Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Hauser Funeral Home and continue one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Garrett Patrick Bormann was born March 17, 1994, in New Hampton, Iowa. He graduated from Nashua High School in 2012. After graduation, Garrett volunteered for the Ionia Fire Department. He was known as a Jack-Of-All-Trades and enjoyed working outside doing landscaping jobs. He also worked for the Iowa D.O.T.

Garrett's love for the outdoors included ice fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and riding his motorcycle. He had a passion for racing, not only driving for figure 8 races, but serving in the pit crew for stock car races. Garrett loved spending time and sharing laughter with his family and friends who meant so much to him. He will be dearly missed by all those his life touched.

Living family members include his father, Dean (Tammy Drew) Bormann of Ionia; mother, Sharon Kellogg-Bormann of Charles City; sister, Cassandra (Dan) Belay of Cedar Rapids; girlfriend, Anna Bates of Osage; maternal grandmother, Thelma Kellogg; godmother, Luella Kellogg; godfather, Ed Bormann; along with many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roger and Barbara Bormann; maternal grandfather, Marvin Kellogg; aunt, Dorothy Kellogg; and uncle, Gary Bormann.
