MASON CITY, IOWA - Mary Lou Millard, 91, of Mason City, and formerly of Nora Springs, died Wednesday (March 28, 2018) at Good Shepherd Health Center in Mason City.
A funeral service for Mary will be held 10:30 am Monday, April 2, 2018 at Epiphany Parish-St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 302 5th St SE, Mason City, with Reverend Austin Wilker officiating. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Nora Springs, Iowa.
Visitation will be held from 3:00pm until 5:00pm on Sunday (April 1, 2018) at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 3rd St. NE, Mason City, with a scriptural wake at 4:30pm.
Mary Lou Krall was born on March 19, 1927, a daughter of Frank and Edna (Einwalter) Krall in New Hampton, Iowa. She attended and graduated from Wacoma High School.
Mary and her identical twin sister, Jean, loved to play tricks on their friends and family by switching places. They were even able fool their future husbands at times.
Mary married William Millard on October 29, 1944 in Little Turkey, Iowa and to this union four children were born. Mary was a great cook, made the best pies in North Iowa, and could knit or crochet just about anything. She and Bill enjoyed going to Florida, and fishing on the Mississippi River and in Northern Minnesota.
Mary is survived by her children, Bob (Sandy) Millard, Linda West (Ron Main), Rich (Deb) Millard, and Doug (Joni) Millard; her grandchildren, Brian (Tammy) Millard, Becky (Jim) Bivens, Todd (Debra) West, Michelle (Doug) Pasierb, Jon (Tammy) West, Kimberly Millard, Tony (Katie) Millard, Bethany (Brad) Hruska, Jamie (Jamie) Shooks, and Chad Millard; great-grandchildren, Brandon (Molly) Millard, Brad (Courtney) West, Blake West, TJ West, Ashely (Cole) Phillips, Andrew Pasierb, Nic Pasierb, Lucas Pasierb, Garrett Cross, Kennedy Cross, Kaylee Millard-Maulsby, Maya Hruska, Nora Hruska, Ella Hruska, Danny Mendez and Conner Millard; great-great-grandchildren, Leo West, and Marin Millard; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William, parents, Frank and Edna (Einwalter) Krall, and her sisters, Marilyn Jean Milbrandt and Shirley Ann Wurtzer.
