MASON CITY, IOWA - Terril L. Weydert, 74, of Charles City, Iowa, and formerly of Mason City, went to be with our Lord and Savior Friday, January 26, 2018 at Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit, Mason City.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at Epiphany Parish-Holy Family Catholic Church, 722 North Adams Avenue, Mason City, with Reverend Neil Manternach officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the Mason City Veterans following the services. Interment will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel 126 3rd Street NE, Mason City, where a fourth degree Knights of Columbus rosary will be said at 4:00 P.M. A scriptural wake service will be at 6:30 p.m.

Memorials may be directed to family of Terril Weydert, 115 North Tennessee Avenue, Mason City, IA 50401, or charity of your choice.

Terry was born July 26, 1943, in Whittemore, Iowa, the son of Marvin and Anna Mae (Sheridan) Weydert. Terry was united in marriage to Billie Marie (Hickey) on January 16, 1965, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mason City, and to this marriage five children were born. Following Billie's passing, he was united in marriage to Maggie (Theis) Weber on November 12, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Church, Charles City, Iowa, and brought six children to add to the family.

Terry attended and graduated from Holy Family Catholic School. After high school he joined the Navy and served as a Corpsman at Camp Pendleton, CA. After separating from the Navy, he worked for the USDA until he retired in 2008.

He was actively involved with the Catholic Parish, and loved his Fourth Degree Knights. He achieved the honor of being a Grand Knight for several years.

Terry enjoyed fishing, playing cards, dancing, and cooking for his family.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Maggie Weber-Weydert of Charles City; his children, Dawn (Jerrod) Goodman of Oronoco, MN, Shawn (Sue) Weydert of Mason City, Shannon Johnson of Mason City, Nichole Weydert of Mason City, and Tracy (Travis) Steenhard of Rockwell; his grandchildren, Nace and Rylee Goodman, Jamison Weydert, Keyton, Gage, and Ivory Johnson, Matraeca Weydert, Madison, Morgan, and Mariah Steenhard; his great-grandson, Cillian Weydert, and Maggie's children, Ron, Ken, Mike, Joe, Teresa Perrian, and Corrine Thompson; 18 step-grandchildren; 28 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Cassie (John) Banwell, Marvin (Beth) Weydert, Patricia (Mike) Olson, Debra (Rick) Gourley, Diana (Robert) Willits, Mary Fisher, Phillip (Deb) Weydert, and Brian (Linda) Weydert, and sister-in-law, Renee (Donald) Babbitt of Spring Hill, FL.

He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Billie Weydert, and brother, Joseph Weydert.
