Matthew 'Matt' Donald Tobin

June 3, 1991 - November 19, 2017

Matthew “Matt” Donald Tobin, 26, of Charles City, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 19, 2017.

A funeral service for Matt will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2017 at Hauser Funeral Home in Charles City with Pastor Wendy Johannesen from West St. Charles United Methodist Church officiating. Cremation will follow the funeral service.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home on Monday.

Matthew Donald Tobin was born in Charles City, Iowa on June 3, 1991. He attended Charles City Public Schools where he excelled in wrestling. His true passion was his love for pit bulls and his dream was to one day run his own kennel. Matt had already begun to build on his dream by breeding his beloved bully (son), Titan, under the name of Tprestine Kennels.

Above all, his heart belonged to his beautiful daughter, Koralyn.

Living family members include his parents, Mike and Alicia (Jurrens) Tobin; siblings: Valerie Tobin, Michael Tobin, Tiffany Tobin, Kiannah Tobin, Raylann Tobin, Jaydann Tobin and Tommy Tobin; nephew, Bowie Tobin; daughter, Koralyn; daughter's mother, Ashlyn; paternal Grandparents, Richard and Shirley Tobin; maternal Grandmother, Sue Jurrens; along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal great-grandparents, Catherine “Kate” and Joseph Royek; maternal grandfather, Ray “Skeet” Jurrens; paternal great-grandparents, Gertrude and Chester Tobin; and his paternal great-grandfather, Lawrence Johnson.

Matt was often quoted as saying, “They say perfection takes time, but in all reality that too will fall short. Time itself isn't perfect.”
