Martin 'Marty' Majewski - Greene

A Graveside service and burial for Marty Majewski, 64, of Greene was held Wednesday, February 22, 2017, at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Greene with Rev. Msgr. Walter Brunkan officiating.

Marty was born on January 14, 1953, in Charles City to Merle and Margaret Rebecca Louise (Gates) Majewski and passed away peacefully, from medical complications, in his home in Greene. He received his education in public school graduating from Greene High School in 1973.

Following graduation Marty worked for White Farms Equipment in Charles City. Later he was employed for TASKO in Shell Rock and eventually for Greene Ag. Services in Greene under Tom Heidenwirth. Marty remained there until he was forced to retire due to health issues.

Marty loved the Shell Rock River and spending time along the waterfront with his family and friends. Marty hosted many 4th of July celebrations, at the river behind his home, producing many lasting memories with his friends. He enjoyed motor cycles and vintage cars and was very skilled in working on them. He had a good sense of humor and a very kind heart.

Living family members include his brother, Tom (Joan) Daiker, Charles City; special friends Randy DeVries, Brent Towsley, Tom Heidenwirth and Don Daiker; and numerous classmates and friends.
