Niles - Oct. 27, 1888

Mrs. Dunn, wife of Thomas Dunn, living on the road south of school house No. 1, was buried last Sunday, Oct. 21. She died the Thursday evening previous, very suddenly, with heart disease, in the 72d year of her age. D. Curtis had charge of the funeral and burial services, and a suitable discourse was delivered at the house at 10 o'clock a. m. by Rev. Z. M. Ellis from St. John's Gospel, 11 chap, 25 verse. Mrs. Dunn was an excellent lady, very highly respected in this vicinity, and they being old settlers the funeral was numerously attended, and the procession to the grave very long.
