Catherine Marie (Meek) Ransom, age 73, of Osage, died Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at the Osage Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Osage.

Cremation has taken place.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Osage with Father Raymond Burkle officiating. Inurnment will be at St. Mary’s Roseville Cemetery in Roseville, [Floyd county] Iowa.

Catherine was born March 25, 1941, in rural Marble Rock, Iowa, the daughter of George and Ella (Marzen) Meek.

She is survived by two sisters, Eileen Dykes of Rochester, Minnesota and Theresa Waters of Osage; and two brothers, David (Rose) Meek of Marble Rock and Daniel Meek of Osage; and many nieces and nephews.
