DEATH NOTICE--

MARBLE ROCK, IOWA — Andrew S. Matton, 49, of Marble Rock, died Friday, Aug. 5, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City. Inurnment will take place at a later time.

Visitation will be one hour before the service.

Arrangements are with Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel of Mason City.

Obituary for Andrew S. Matton

Andrew S. Matton, 49, of Marble Rock, Iowa, died Thursday August 4, 2016, at his home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday August 10, 2016 at the Hogan-Bremer-Moore Colonial Chapel, Mason City, Iowa. Visitation will be on hour before the service. Inurnment will take place at a later time.

Andrew was born April 14, 1967 in St. Paul, Minnesota the son of Jerome and Donna (Alcorn) Matton. He attended school in Mason City, Iowa.

He married Kris Dehnert April 7, 1995.

He enjoyed working on cars, scrap metaling and dirt bikes. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing, hiking, playing Disc golf, bowling, listening to AC/DC, REO Speedwagon, playing cribbage and other board games. He especially enjoyed spending time with his son Jesse and family.

Andy was known for his kindest, helping hands and his open door policy.

Andy is survived by his two children Jesse (fiancé Chelsi McCoy) Matton, Mason City, Iowa and Stephanie Book, Mason, City, Iowa; five grandchildren Katherine Matton, Gabriela Book, Juan Book, Ryker Book and Zakkery Book; his girlfriend Shannon Bryant, Marble Rock, Iowa; two brothers Jerome (Jenna) Matton, Ft. Dodge, Iowa and Randy (Desiree) Matton, Mason City, Iowa; his special friends Kenny Nelson, Mason City, Iowa, Eric Jensen, Osage, Iowa, and Tammy Hamilton, Waterloo, Iowa and his companion dog Hydra. He was preceded in death by his parents.
