Service: 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Gospel Lighthouse, Floyd. The Reverend Paul Phillips, pastor of the Gospel Lighthouse, will officiate.Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery in Charles City.

Friends may call at Comet Bowl in Charles City from 5-8 P.M. on Friday, July 22 and an hour prior to the service at Gospel Lighthouse on Saturday.

Robert "Bob" Kielty, 68, of Charles City, died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at Floyd County Medical Center surrounded by loving family members.

Robert "Bob" Kielty was born on September 22, 1947 at Charles City, the son of John and Ruth (Trask) Kielty. He received his education at Immaculate Conception School. On January 11, 1991 he was united in marriage to Carol Brady, the love of his life, for over 25 years. Bob worked at White Farm Equipment Company for 17 years, also at Sara Lee Bakery, Winnebago Industries, and his favorite, Hy-Vee Food Store. Bob also proudly served his country as a U.S. Marine, from 1966-1970 until he was honorably discharged. Bob served two tours of duty in Vietnam.

During his spare time, Bob loved to hunt, bowl, play pool, ride his bike, and walk his dog. Most importantly, he loved to spend time with his family and grandkids.

Living family members include his wife of over 25 years, Carol Kielty of Charles City, Brandon (Emily) Kielty, Brock Kielty, Renae (Tim) Hayworth, Tim (Amanda) Kennison, Brenda (Tyler Fontanini) Goodknight, Three brothers: Bill (Sharon) Kielty, Sam (Marilyn) Kielty, and Mike (Pat) Kielty. Also his mother-in-law Floy (Dale) Dollershell; sister-in-law Patty (Matt) Salonek, sister-in-law Penny (Tom) Ledbeter, Jim Brady brother-in-law, 12 grandkids and three great-grandkids, many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents: John and Ruth (Trask) Kielty, infant sister Catherine, and son Troy Kielty.
