Jeffrey Eugene Schilling, 66, of St. Cloud, Minnesota formerly of Charles City was found deceased Monday, January 4, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at his home in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016 at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Charles City. Pastor Bill Odermann will officiate. Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Charles City following the service.

Visitation will be held an hour prior to the service on Thursday at the church.

Jeff was born April 3, 1949 at Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City, Iowa to Victor L. and Lou E. (Meiner) Schilling. He graduated from Charles City High School in 1968. Directly following graduation he enlisted in the United States Air Force. Jeff served his country for 22 years before he retired. During his service he saw much of the U.S. and many parts of the world. For the most part stationed in North Dakota and his last years of service in Alaska he was a Hydraulic Mechanic. After retiring from the Air Force he moved to St. Cloud and worked for the United States Postal Services for 10 years and then retired.

During his tour in South Korea he met the love of his life, Young Hui Yim and was united in marriage in 1972. They were blessed with one daughter, Lisa and two sons, Dennis and Eric. Jeff enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading his Bible, sitting around camp fires with his neighbors: Dan, Tom and Greg, and playing his guitar. He loved letting everybody know he loved his Family and Grandkids. Jeff always had his tablet nearby to show off the latest pictures of his grandbabies.

Living family members include his two sons, Dennis (Uncle D) of Anchorage, Alaska, and Eric (Amber) of Fairbanks, Alaska; one daughter, Lisa; six grandchildren: Amelia, Bryson, Mason, Tyson, Makayla, and Mariah; seven brothers: Greg (Carla) of Waterloo, Jerry (Mickie) of Red Wing, Minnesota, Randy (Loretta) of Charles City, Steve (Gloria) of California, Tom of Charles City, Dan of Charles City, Ron (Carrie) of Ohio; two sisters: Connie (Rick) Palmersheim and Lori Davies, both of the Twin Cities; along with many Aunts, Uncles, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, infant brother, David; sister, Janet; and Aunts and Uncles.
