OBITUARY OF EDWARD E. CHURCH.

Edward Everett Church was born at Lowell, Wisconsin, Mar. 21, 1863, and died in Riverton Township, Floyd County, Iowa, Mar. 17, 1936, aged 72 years, 11 months and 25 days.

He came to Iowa forty nine years ago and has lived the most of his life in Floyd county.

He was united in marriage with Rachel Olney at Charles City, September 29, 1886 and to this union six daughters were born.

He is survived by his wife and the following children and near relatives. Mrs. Jack Miller, Mrs. Sam Springer, Mrs. H. S. Lambert and Mrs. A. E. Quackenbush of Charles City; Mrs. Harry Hickman of Des Moines and Mrs. Howard Powers of Greene; also seventeen grandchildren and five great grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Anna E. Hand of DeKalb, Ill., and Mrs. Clara Waite of Charles City, besides other relatives and hosts of friends.

Mr. Church has been a kind and loving husband and father, a true neighbor and friend whose life has ever been representative of the spirit of the age of which he was a part and leaves to his relatives and acquaintances the record of a long, useful and worth while[sic]life.

Funeral services were held at the Hauser Funeral Home, Chas. City, Friday afternoon, March 20 at 2:30 o'clock conducted by the Rev. G. A. Hess, pastor of the Christian church of Charles City, with interrment [sic] at the Riverton cemetery.
