Kenneth B Wagner – February 15, 1912 --- August 4, 1966

RITES HELD FOR KENNETH WAGNER

Kenneth B. Wagner, 54, passed away on Thursday night at the Veteran’s Hospital in Des Moines where he was a patient for eleven days.

He was born February 15, 1912, at Clarion, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Wagner. He was a veteran of World War II.

He was united in marriage to Arlene M. Merriss on January 31, 1941.

Mr. Wagner worked for Litteral Mills at construction work for several years, the Oliver Corporation at Charles City and for about five years for the Pringle Livestock Company in Marble Rock.

Survivors include his wife, Arlene; two sons, Richard with the marines in Virginia, and Lawrence, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Doris Wither, of College Park, Maryland, and Lucinda, at home; and two grandchildren.

Also surviving are five sisters; Grace Wagner, Rockford; Mrs. John (Ollie) Parker, Clarksville; Mrs. Leo (Ethel) Ritter, Rockford; Mrs. Venetta Ackley, California; and Mrs. Vern (Cordelia) Swanson, Sheffield.

Mr. Wagner was preceded in death by his parents a brother, Clarence.

Funeral services were held on Monday afternoon at 1:30 at the Methodist church in Marble Rock with Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was in West Side Cemetery. Reid’s Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
