EDWARD KELLER RITES HELD SATURDAY
Edward Keller, 80, of Charles City, formerly of the Marble Rock vicinity, passed away on February 13 at his home after a lingering illness.
Funeral services were held at the Houser Funeral Home in Charles City at 2:00 P.M. Friday, conducted by Rev. William Lane, Pastor of Flood Creek Methodist Church assisted by the Rev. Wesley F Belling, DD. Lester Moele sang “Saved by Grace and Sunrise”, accompanied by Mrs. R. N. Benedict. Burial was held in Flood Creek Cemetery.
Edward Frank Keller, son of Frank and Helen Pfundheller Keller, was born in Union Township, Floyd County, on December 26, 1876, the oldest of four children. He received his education in the Rural School and the Marble Rock High School and farmed the home place where he was born till he retired in 1947, whn he moved to Charles City which has since been his home.
He was a member of the Flood Creek Methodist Church since boyhood, where he attended church services regularly and served in several church offices as long as health permitted.
Survivors include two sisters, Bertha and Mata Keller of Charles City. A younger brother, Gilbert, passed away in 1906.
