CHARLES F. AHART OF MARBLE ROCK DIES
DEATH COMES AT HOME OF HIS SON, LOREN AHART, THURSDAY IN MARBLE ROCK

Charles F. Ahart, the youngest son of Ferdinand and Ricka Ahart, was born at Wausau, Wisconsin, December 18, 1858, being one of a family of ten children. He passed away at the home of his son, Loren at the age of 80 years, 2 months and 5 days.

As a boy, he received his early education in the country schools. He came to Floyd County as a young man and made his home with his brother, Herman, until October 30, 1882, when he was married to Millie Daehn. They then moved to their farm southwest of Marble Rock where he was actively engaged in farming for a number of years.

To this union four children were born: Robert C. of Wimbledon, North Dakota; Loren F., Marble Rock; and daughters Alleta R. and Hazel L. who preceded their parents in death.

In 1910 they left the farm and moved to Marble Rock where his interests were in buying stock for a number of years.
After the death of his wife on February 6, 1930, he continued to live alone at his home. A few weeks ago his health began to fail and he went to live with his son, Loren, and family where he passed away.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, at 10 a.m., February 25 at the home of his son.
