Anna Mabel (Stromberg) Thurow – August 11, 1884 – December 11, 1960

MRS. FRED THUROW RITES TUESDAY AT CHARLES CITY

Charles City – Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Grossann-Hage Funeral Home for Mrs. Fred Thurow, 76. She died Sunday while enroute to the Cedar Valley Hospital, following a heart attack. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.

Born in Floyd County, August 11, 1884, she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stromberg. On August 31, 1905, she was married to Fred Thurow.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Frank Thurow, Osage; two daughters, Mrs. Harry O’Harrow, Charles City, and Mrs. Albert Becker, Guttenberg; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, and four sisters, Mrs. Ralph Wilcox and Mrs. Doris Wray, both of Charles City; Mrs. Roy Taylor, Chotea, Montana, and Mrs. Gladys Chapman, Tulsa Oklahoma.
