JONSIE COOK
Charles City – Funeral services were held Saturday at the Grossmann-Hage Funeral Home for Jonsie William Cook, 74. He died Thursday night at the Cedar Valley Hospital. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery with military rites by the VFW, American Legion and W.W. I. Veterans.
Cook had been in failing health the last few months. Born 3 ½ miles south of Charles City, May 22, 1888, he had always lived on the home farm. He was the son of John W. and Rixta Heddens Cook.
Survivors include two brothers; Ralph Cook, rural Charles City, and John Cook, Brownsdale, Minnesota; two sisters, Rixta Cook, rural Charles City, and Mrs. Arthur Frankie, Salem, Oregon; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
