CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Adela “Dale” Schroedermeier, 90, of Charles City, formerly of Greene, died Monday, January 26, 2015, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City.
Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and at the church an hour prior to the service on Thursday.

Adela "Dale" Schroedermeier, 90, of Charles City, formerly of Greene, died Monday, January 26, 2015, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Adela Sophia Westendorf Schroedermeier was born March 31, 1924, in Bremer County, the daughter of John and Sophia (Brandt) Westendorf. She received her education from country schools.
On September 26, 1949 she was united in marriage to Ray Schroedermeier at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. They farmed south of Charles City all of their lives. She was a member of Saint Peter's Lutheran Church in Greene. Dale enjoyed gardening, cooking, doing needlework, reading, and listening to the radio. Family was always important to Dale and she looked forward to sharing her life with them.
Living family members include five children, Vicky Clark of Mason City, Gary Schroedermeier of Greene, Robert (Helen) Schroedermeier of Oelwein, Connie (Steven) Lacour of Charles City and Lisa (Larry) Painter of Newton; eight grandchildren, Melissa (Kevin) Miller, Matt Clark, Adam (Stacy) Lacour, Dan Lacour, Airen Snow, Jake Painter, Denice Jackson and Dave (Megan) Gilson; six great grandchildren; and a great great granddaughter; a brother John (Dee) Westendorf, Jr. of Callao, Mo.; two sisters Maria (Bill) of Waterloo and Bernice Bauler of Waterloo; brother-in-law, Jerry Schroedermeier and sister-in-law, Jeanette Schroedermeier of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray Schroedermeier; and three brothers, Wilbur, Eldo and Lester Westendorf.
