Leonette Fryer, 90, of New Orleans, Louisiana, formerly of Marble Rock, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at Woldenberg Village in New Orleans.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary Cemetery with family and friends asked to meet at the funeral home and process to the cemetery together.

Leonette Marie Heck Fryer, a native of Marble Rock, Iowa and a resident of Algiers, LA, entered into the eternal rest on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Beloved wife of the late Joseph B. Fryer. Loving and devoted mother of Anne Fryer Grimmett (Adrian), Catherine Fryer Gray (David), Beth Fryer Wallace (Wayne), Debora Fryer Boyle (Michael), Joseph Fryer (Tamara), Teresa Fryer Trauth (Gary), Janet Fryer McAllister (Erik) and Paul Fryer (April). Grandmother of Alexander, Alison, Amelia, Brian, Chad, Eamon, Erin, Karl, Keith, Madelyn, Melissa, Megan, Morgan, and Vanessa. Great grandmother of Brennan, Emma, Kiran, Lauren, Madison, Makayla, Robbie, and Rowan. Sister of Veronica Ballard (Ronnie) and the late Dorothy "Dot" Lind, Bernadette "Bernie" Kent, Jeanette Goebel, James and John Heck. Daughter of the late Lena Marie Gerner and John F. Heck. Mrs. Fryer was a registered nurse and an alumna of the Mayo Clinic, Kahler Methodist, Rochester, Minnesota. She was a former parishioner of Sacred Heart Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri where she volunteered in many ways including as a Eucharistic Minister. Leonette was also a member of the Knights of Columbus women's auxiliary, a regular blood donor even into her 70's and an accomplished gardener.
