GREENE, IOWA - Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Milligan, 76, of Greene, formerly Charles City, Iowa, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at the Liebe Care Center in Greene.

A funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City.

Reverend Gary Mayer will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 3-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, where a Scripture Service will begin at 4:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the Mass at the church on Monday.

Mary Kathleen "Kathy" Milligan, 76, of Greene, formerly Charles City, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the Liebe Care Center in Greene.

A funeral Mass for Kathy Milligan will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City. Reverend Gary Mayer will celebrate the Mass. Burial will be at Sunnyside Memory Gardens in rural Charles City.

Mary Kathleen "Kathy" (Devereux) Milligan, the daughter of Paul and Bernice (O'Brien) Devereux, was born April 19, 1938. She attended Greene Country School and graduated from Immaculate Conception School in 1956. Kathy was united in marriage to Leroy Milligan on October 14, 1961 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and the couple made their home in Charles City. She was a resident of the area her entire life. Kathy was employed at the Zastrow, Noah, Smith law firm as a legal secretary for 25 years and was a member of Business and Professional Women. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where she was involved in the St. Mary's Circle. Kathy will be remembered for her love of traveling, camping, fishing and hunting.

The family would like to thank all of the personnel and staff at Liebe Care Center in Greene for taking such great care of Kathy for the 14 years she resided there. The compassion and friendship shown to her was greatly appreciated.

Living family members include her brothers: Bill (Donna) Devereux of Hampton, Alex (Shirley) Devereux of Marion, Terry (Sue) Devereux of Walker, Pat (Jean) of Denison and Bernard (Linda) of Longmont, Colorado; sister, Maurita (Doug) Penn of Marion; brother-in-law, Mike (Clarice) Milligan of Charles City; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leroy in 2007; and two brothers: Don and John Devereux.
