Stella Josephine Lundene was born January 6, 1894 at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa to Ole Andersen Lundene and Mathea Pedersen, the second of their three children.

Stella was baptized on February 4, 1894 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. Her baptismal sponsors were: Mr. & Mrs. Ole Johnson; Severin Pedersen and Eline Evensen.

Found in the 1900 & 1910 censuses at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa:

1900: Ole A Lundene 36, Mattie J Lundene 36, Alma Lundene 8, Stella Lundene 6.

1910: Mathirs Leudrne 46, Alma Leudrne 18, Stella Leudrne 16, Otto Leudrne 9, Martinius Pedersen 35.

Found in the 1920 census at Keister, Faribault, Minnesota: Robert Leonhardi 33, Alma O Leonhardi 27, Julian O Leonhardi 1 yr 11 mos, Stella J Lundene 25, Otto M Lundene 18, Hans W Peters 32, Edd F Albrecht 32.

Stella married Ole N Tufte (1896-1940) in Minnesota after 1920. The couple had 2 children, a girl and a boy. Stella was a nurse.

1930: Ole N Tufte 34, Stella J Tufte 36, Maxine C Tufte 2 yrs 11 mos.

1940: Ole W Tufte 44, Stella J Tufte 46, Maxine C Tufte 12, Albert W Tufte 7.
Died May 23, 1978 Scott, Minnesota. Buried at Oaklawn Cemetery, Northfield, Rice, Minnesota.
