Adolph R. Schrader Dies in Mason City
Adolph R. Schrader, 71, died at this home in Mason City, the morning of June 5, following a short illness.
A retired farmer, Mr. Schrader had lived in the community of Marble Rock for 19 years.
He was born May 16, 1878 at Marble Rock and his life was spent in that vicinity and at Greene and Mason City.
He was married January 11, 1899 to Minnie M. Pops in Ulster township, Floyd county.
He was a member of the Free methodist church at Flood Creek where funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. following a brief service at the home conducted by Rev. E.L. Bailey.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Tom Van Lengen, three grandchildren, Allen Van Horn and Richard and Rose Marie Hewitt of Mason City, two sisters, Mrs. William G. Wedeking, Marble Rock and Mrs. Tom Mitchell, Zion, Illinois, three brothers, Willie Schrader, Charles City, Rudolph Schultz and Louis Schrader of Marble Rock.
His wife and one daughter, Mrs. Louis Van Horn, preceded him in death.
Those from Marble Rock attending the services were Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Wedeking, Mr. and Mrs. William G. Wedeking, Mr. and Mrs. Louie Schrader, Rudolph Schultz and Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Bartlett.
