FRED CONNER, 76, DIES AT HOME NEAR OSAGE

Osage, Ia., Jan. 24 - Fred Conner, 76, residing eight miles southwest of town, died Saturday morning after 20 years of invalidism from heart disease. He came to this section of the country 50 years ago from Wisconsin, with his cousin, the late James Conner, walking the entire distance and driving a flock of sheep. The time since then had been spent on his farm in Floyd county, except the years 1897 and 1898, when he was in the implement business in Rudd. He had for years been a member of the Masonic lodge at Nora Springs.

Mr. Conner is survived by his widow and three children; Fred Conner, Charles City; Bernard Conner, Rudd, and Mrs. Ethel Barrett, Osage.
