Velma I. Daggett, 95, of Charles City, formerly of Conrad, passed away Friday, August 15, 2014, at the Floyd County Medical Center, in Charles City.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at the Conrad United Methodist Church, in Conrad. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, August 18, 2014, at the Conrad Chapel of the Anderson Funeral Homes. Interment will be at the Conrad cemetery. Velma was born March 17, 1919, to John Willard and Clara Belle (Randall) St. Clair in Conrad. She graduated from Conrad High School in 1936.

Velma was united in marriage to Kenneth James Daggett on February 15, 1942, in Conrad. He died September of 1988. She was a member of the Conrad United Methodist Church, former member of the Order of Eastern Star in Conrad and Reinbeck Royal Neighbors.

Velma will be missed by her son, Kent (Marla) Daggett of Culver City, California, four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a brother, Leonard St. Clair of Eugene, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, a daughter, Darilyn Busch, a son in infancy, James Willard, and four brothers, Eldon, Wendell, Kenneth “Dutch”, and Forrest “Hap.”
