JAMES N. RAMSDELL PASSES AWAY

James Newell Ramsdell, son of Charles and Eliza Ramsdell, was born in Pleasant Grove township, Floyd County, Iowa, March 27, 1877, and passed away at this home on Saturday evening, May 4th 1929, at the age of 52, years, 1 month and 8 days.

Mr. Ramsdell had been ill of diabetes and complications for the past two years, but had been able to be around and attend to the management of his farm until about four weeks ago, he became seriously ill, and since that time his recovery was hopeless.

He lived his entire life on the farm where he was born. He was a member of the M.E. church of Greene, and a member of the Knights of Pythias lodge of Greene.

Surviving are his age mother, Mrs. Eliza Ramsdell, his widow, Mrs. Eva Ramsdell; two sons, Verl and Bert; four grandchildren, Shirley, Robert, Donna and James Ramsdell, and other relatives and friends, who mourn the departure of an affectionate son, husband and father and a good fiend and neighbor.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Methodist church, Rev. C.K. Hudson officiating. Burial in Rosehill cemetery.
