MRS. ELIZA RAMSDELL FUNERAL MONDAY

Eliza N. Doore, daughter of Joel and Sarah [Cushing] Doore, was born near Atkinson, Maine, October 11, 1835, and passed away Saturday morning, October 19, 1929, at her home in Pleasant Grove Township, Floyd County, Iowa, at the age of ninety-four years and seven days of age.

In 1851, she was married to Charles Ramsdell, of Atkinson, Maine. In 1873, Mr. and Mrs. Ramsdell and family came from Maine to Iowa and established their home soon afterward on the farm where she was living at the time of her decease. Mrs. Ramsdell united with the church when she was a young girl. She was a member of the M.E. church of Greene.

She was an affectionate wife and mother, a loyal friend and kind neighbor. She has been preceded to the Great Beyond by her father, mother, three brothers and two sisters, her husband and seven children.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Eva Ramsdell, her three grand-children, Mrs. Maude Wheeler, of Bellingham, Washington; Verle Ramsdell, if Greene; and Bert Ramsdell, of Oelwein, Iowa; also by six great grand-children, five nephews and two nieces, and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2: 30 o'clock, and burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery, Rev. C.K. Hudson officiating.
