CHARLES CITY, IOWA -- Reginald “Reggie” Rima, 44, of Charles City died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Funeral services for Reggie Rima will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauser Funeral Home, and at the church on Wednesday an hour prior to the service.

Reginald "Reggie" Rima, 44, of Charles City, died Saturday, May 24, 2014, at the 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City.

Funeral services for Reggie Rima will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Saint John Evangelical Lutheran Church. Pastor Dennis Niezwaag will officiate. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens rural Charles City.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and at the church on Wednesday an hour prior to the service.

Reginald Ira John Rima was born April 28, 1970, at Charles City, the son of John and Jean (Mohring) Rima. He received his education from Charles City Community School. Reggie was a resident of Comprehensive Systems for over 30 years and for the last five years at 11th Street Chautauqua Guest Home. He enjoyed music especially the Beatles and Garth Brooks. Reggie looked forward to watching baseball games with the Cubs being his favorite.

Living family members include his parents, John and Jean Rima of Charles City; brother, John (Angie) Ayers of Charles City; two nieces, Abby and Olivia Ayers; paternal grandmother, Marilyn Rima of Decorah; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Myrtle Sherbon; and paternal grandparents, Earl and Marian Rima.
