Henry Lewis, 92, of Colwell, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at the Floyd County Medical Center in Charles City.

Funeral services for Henry Lewis will be held 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Colwell United Church of Christ. Pastor Debra Lincoln will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Charles City. There will be a flag presentation by the Charles City Ceremonial Unit.

Friends may call at the Hauser Funeral Home from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday and at the church on Tuesday an hour prior to the service.

Henry Walter Lewis was born March 8, 1922, in Cerro Gordo County, the son of Roy and Editha (Tibbits) Lewis. He graduated from high school and Upper Iowa University. Henry proudly served in the United States Army during World War II. After his discharge Henry returned to the family farm near Colwell where he was engaged in farming. He was a member of the Colwell United Church of Christ.

favorite pastime was woodworking.

Living family members include a brother, Roy Lewis of West Branch; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Richard; and two sisters, Rhoda and Sylvia
