CHARLES CITY, IOWA - Services for Gordon R. Rex, 71, of Charles City, formerly of Marble Rock, who died Saturday at Floyd County Memorial Hospital, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Marble Rock United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Westside Cemetery, Marble Rock. A Scripture service will be 7:30 p.m. Monday at Reid's Funeral Chapel, Marble Rock. Visitation at the funeral home after 9 a.m. Monday.

Survivors include his wife, Leota; a son, James of Marble Rock; four daughters: Mrs. Kathleen Schilling of Charles City, Mrs. Francys Ritter of Mason City, Mrs. Donna Kolbet of Alta Vista and Connie Pitz of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin; 18 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.

He was a former owner of Rex's Cafe in Marble Rock.
